The Department of Economics of the University of Western Macedonia is pleased to announce the successful certification of its new Postgraduate Program of Studies:
“Master of Business Administration with emphasis on Business Economics and Artificial Intelligence”
(MBA in Business Economics and Artificial Intelligence)
According to the report of the Certification Committee, ratified by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), the Program fully complies with:
-
the principles of the Quality Standard for the Certification of New Postgraduate Programs of HAHE, and
-
the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG),
meeting the requirements of Level 7 of both the National and the European Qualifications Framework.
This new inter-university and international Postgraduate Program is jointly organized with the Department of Economics of Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand, and will commence in the academic year 2025–2026. The first round of student applications is expected to open in early 2026.
The certification is valid for a period of five (5) years, from 08 July 2025 to 07 July 2030.

This is the students’ portal where it is possible to display the basic study details (Name, surname, ID, Department, etc.), the possibility to display and submit course declarations per semester of study, the possibility of submitting requests for certificates (e.g. study certificate, analytical grade, etc.) as well as viewing the graded courses of the student. The UOWM Open eClass platform is a complete Electronic Course Management System. It follows the philosophy of open source software and supports the Asynchronous Distance Learning service without limitations and commitments. Through this Portal HEAL-Link members have full-text access to journals, e-books and to bibliographic databases. Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure (AAI) through shibboleth is supported by a few publishers. Access is allowed through IP address recognition and My-HEAL-Link, which is a personalization service, does not conflict with this process. (more…)
The Secure File Sending Service operates at https://send.uowm.gr , with the help of which it is possible to securely send large files (4Gb max) to other users.
The Networking Department offers the VPN (Virtual Private Network) service, which enables institution users who already have an internet connection (eg DSL connection) to obtain a University IP address from wherever they connect, along with whatever rights it comes with, e.g. access to internal electronic services of the University, access to electronic resources via HEAL-LINK, etc. (more…)
